Bashers debut single on Sudden Def will be out at the end of the month and is his first away from Ram Record’s sister imprint Frequency.

There is a short and strange story to the making of ‘Static Chicken’ which unfortunately cannot be printed, but it did result in a wicked dancefloor track so it’s all good! Basher also gives the remix treatment to a Stu C4C (Cause4Concern) track for extra measure...

On Saturday 20th September Def:inition make their annual excursion to Toronto (Canada) and once again team up with the Soul In Motion family to throw one hell of a party!

We will be taking the Brookes Brothers with us to show the world how to party in a UK fashion and Inter will be reping for Sudden Def. Other artists on the night include Marcus Visionary (Dubstep set), DJ Spinz and Mr Brown.

Currently out on limited promo is the next single on Sudden Def by Ics & Trevelyan featuring the potential summer anthem ‘Exit One’. Formerly known as Trevelyan & Icarus, this duo were responsible for one of the big tunes of 2006 ‘Fruit X’ on Brockie’s Undiluted Records. After a short break and resulting change of name the boys are back and the full release should be available late May.

Def:inition will be hosting it’s first New Years Eve party at Clockwork using both floors of the venue from 8pm to 5am…

Providing the entertainment in the club are Sub Focus, Cyantific, Vicious Circle, Sigma, Inter, MC 2 Shy, Rhymes and the rest of the resident team.
The bar will be filled with the sound of killer funk, super soul & old skool classics including a house set from Vicious Circle & Hip Hop from Inter.

Later this month we embark on our biggest task yet since launching Def:inition just over 2 years ago… We will be holding 2 parties in 2 cities over 2 nights! Friday 20th July we touch down in Brighton for ‘Darklight vs Def:inition’ at the Volkz club with a line up including Noisia, Chase & Status, Vicious Circle, Inter and DLM. On Saturday we return to Clockwork for some pure Def:inition summer party vibes as the legendary Zinc makes his long awaited return with Sabre, Prophecy & MC Rhymes in support. This is going to be a heavy weekend, so make sure you book the Monday off work!

Our 25th single is released the week beginning 16th July... Boneshaker has the honour of providing the beats for this landmark single and with the expertise guidance of ‘Ant Miles’ on the mix down, we believe that it signals that the future is strong for Sudden Def as a label. 08/05/2007DEF:LTD IS OFFICIALLY BORN

Next Monday (14th) is the official release date of the first single on our new label DEF:LTD. Promos flew off the shelves in early April and the hype has been really positive surrounding this debut release… DJ Masheen (DSCI4) supplied the beats with assistance from Kano on the lead track ‘Blunt Slide’.
